This is an archive of the former website of the Maoist Internationalist Movement, which was run by the now defunct Maoist Internationalist Party - Amerika. The MIM now consists of many independent cells, many of which have their own indendendent organs both online and off. MIM(Prisons) serves these documents as a service to and reference for the anti-imperialist movement worldwide.
Friends of the Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist League (FORAIL)

Purpose:

FORAIL is a student group that works with the Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist League to organize against imperialism. Imperialism is the current economic system in which the imperialist nations, mainly the United $tates, exploit the oppressed nations who make up the majority of the planet's human population. Our activities include educational events, lectures, videos, tabling, collecting books for prisoners at the end of each semester, holding poetry and music benefit shows, and corresponding with prisoners at weekly meetings. Our prison work is linked to the struggle of the Black and Latino nations against U$ imperialism, in an effort to promote internationalism. We try to build a strong link between students and prisoners in the U$, since they are two of the most revolutionary groups in this country. We then link our struggles here to the struggles of our comrades in the third world.

The Boston University chapter was founded in 1997. As of the Fall of 2001 FORAIL is no longer registered at BU. But RAIL is still actively organizing in Boston and will hopefully continue to do so for years to come. If you are a BU student interested in re-registering the group (or anyone else interested in working with RAIL), please contact railbos@mim.org.
