This is an archive of the former website of the Maoist Internationalist Movement, which was run by the now defunct Maoist Internationalist Party - Amerika. The MIM now consists of many independent cells, many of which have their own indendendent organs both online and off. MIM(Prisons) serves these documents as a service to and reference for the anti-imperialist movement worldwide.

France

France is an imperialist country with continuing influence in Quebec and ex-colonies in French-speaking Africa in particular. In the 1960s, French imperialism struggled to make sure its nuclear weapons were not dependent on u.$. imperialism and it partially broke away from NATO.

In 2003, France did much of the diplomatic heavy lifting to isolate u.$. imperialism on Iraq. In 2004, France also sent troops to Haiti.
