So what do we mean by "agitation"? MIM's principal tasks in the 
imperialist countries today are to build public opinion for the 
just struggles of the oppressed, and to build independent 
institutions of the oppressed to seize state power. As we pursue 
these tasks we must remain true to the principles of anti-
imperialism and anti-militarism that must guide all revolutionary 
politics within imperialist borders. So we must shake up public 
opinion, stir up political consciousness, agitate for social 
change and the end of oppression.
