Wimmin spies in Peru demonstrate need for politicizing wimmin The Wall Street Journal ran a remarkable story about Peruvian wimmin working for Peruvian dictator Fujirmori's henchman named Montesinos. These wimmin infiltrated comrade Gonzalo's party and their work resulted in the torture and death of Maoist militants. They are an example of some of the advantages the oppressor holds with apolitical people. These wimmin admitted to engaging in counterrevolutionary work because working in the army seemed like secure work, good for building a family. They did not ask why it was that so many Peruvians were so poor and why turning to the army for a career would be the only option available. Nor did they ask which side does better to protect the life of the people overall--despite the rhetoric about "terrorism." These counterrevolutionary wimmin are a warning again to Maoist revolutionaries that we cannot be lax in the fight against economism. If the people do not understand the overall situation of how to advance the economy, they may fall for "Mother Courage" and glass-of-milk programs or participation in outright counter- insurgency themselves. Vacuous liberals and social-democrats do not have real solutions, but like a Trojan Horse they provide a cover for the enemy to enter the camp of the people. It is not OK to rat on the revolutionary movement to obtain a job, a better welfare program or the like. Those in our camp who attach intrinsic value to charity items set up the movement for betrayal and failure, because the enemy is always willing to set up another charity program as long as it exploits somewhere else even harder than before. China was even poorer historically than Peru is now, but Mao managed to guarantee jobs for everyone in China. These wimmin infiltrators did not know that, and now they are being killed or maimed by Montesinos in turn. The Wall Street Journal cast them as falling out of line over "human-rights" issues. In-between the lines (the last lines of New York Times articles or the existence of articles about "human-rights violations" in the Wall Street Journal) we learn that the U.$. masters of the puppet regime in Peru are growing tired of Montesinos. The ruling circles mentioned the role of Montesinos in torture because of the election in June between Fujimori and Toledo. Every now and then the Yankee masters prefer to sacrifice one of their puppets in order to polish the Yankee imperialist image. We cry no tears for the wimmin infiltrators trying to seduce Maoists one day in order to have them killed and being killed themselves the next day. At the same time, we trace the trail of bloodshed to its lair -- Yankee imperialism. Note: Wall Street Journal "Dark Side: The Spies Helped Peru Beat its Terrorist Foes," 30May2000, p. 1
