"Freedom only applies to ruling class people" Dear MIM: I am writing in concerns of the letter that came with the MIM Notes on the attacks on the WTC and Pentagon. It is a tragedy that so many people died on September 11. On your print out I can see that it states that the u.s. government can only ask "who," but I believe the focus should not be on who did this, rather the focus should be on "why." The united snakes must look at the overall picture and start looking into their presence and implementation in those Third World countries. I have heard the government state that freedom has been attacked, and it is sad that you have many ignorant people believing that freedom has been attacked. The only freedom this country has applies to the ruling class people, those who are fighting the war for this country are fighting for the ruling class. The attacks on September 11 were unpreventable, as long as the united snakes keeps putting their nose where it does not belong and keeps aiding the Israeli government against the Palestinians this country will remain a target. Who could have ever imagined that such things could happen in this country, I guess the ruling class never thought that it would, especially in a superpower country they proclaim to be. I believe this war is never going to end, this country's goal is to achieve world dominance over every country and as long as that's in their agenda Amerikkka will suffer more lives. --a prisoner in New Jersey October 2001 MIM responds: The letter writer is correct that as long as imperialism exists, this war on the oppressed nations (which began decades before 11 September 2001) will continue. But all things must come to an end. Either the international proletariat overthrows imperialism through a difficult series of protracted people's wars and revolutions and places society on a path towards a classless future where groups no longer oppress other groups; or imperialism destroys the humyn race through nuclear devastation, biological warfare, of environmental catastrophe. Those are the only choices. Needless to say MIM is working towards the former. No excuses for those who play the oppressor's game Dear MIM: Please print this essay in the Under Lock and Key segment of MIM Notes. I'm writing in response to the article printed in MIM Notes #239 titled, "US troops gang-rape Japanese woman." I wanted to offer you my total support in your condemnation of those Black officers who were involved. Me myself, I'm a black male, an enlightened one though I have a long way to go. I've come to the realization that there is good and evil. Though Blacks make up a proportionate number of members of the semi- colonies, that doesn't excuse when these individuals take on the characteristics and ethics of the oppressor. I look at numerous individuals, Colin Powell, Clarence Thomas, J.C. Watts just to name a few who actively do the bidding of the oppressor. Blame it on lack of knowledge of self, greed or fear, I know what side of the fence they are on. For those who lack knowledge of themselves, if I can reach them then that is fine. I'm simply reiterating that the proletariat must move as one collective whole towards the unification of all oppressed semi-colonies and Third World parties alike. I've become real selective and shrewd as to who I will align myself with in the past I blame a lot of my mistakes on emotionalism, which can be a hindrance to an individual who deals in a revolutionary instead of reactionary state of mind. I want to acknowledge and thank your efforts for your political agitation. --a NY Prisoner
