To Our Friends of the Latinas and Latinos for 
Social Change:

We are dismayed to learn that you are canceling 
your forum on globalization, militarism and 
immigration, particularly because it addresses one 
of the most pressing issues of the day, 
militarism. There is no more urgent time for us to 
be discussing this problem than right now as the 
tragic loss of life last week is only compounded 
daily by u.s. militarism around the world. As we 
head towards another open war, supported by the 
vast majority of the Amerikan people, it is all 
the more important that anti-imperialists be out 
there making our opposition clear and vocal. We 
can best mourn the lives of those lost to Amerikan 
militarism, in the World Trade Center and around 
the world, by increasing our resolve and our work 
to cast off this murderous system.
