U.$. bombs civilians in Afghanistan The united states is now bombing villages in Afghanistan in the hopes that Osama Bin Laden might be hiding somewhere and get hit by a bomb. On December 1 bombers hit the Afghanistan villages of Balut, Akal Khan and Gudara and possibly others. Clearly willing to tolerate hundreds of direct civilian casualties the united states is underscoring why the majority of the world's people hate u.s. imperialism. The united states hypocritically condemns terrorist attacks on civilian targets within its own borders, but when it kills civilians in other countries that is just a part of the war (of course first we hear denials from u.s. officials even when they are faced with injured people in hospitals describing in detail the deaths from the bombing attacks). One villager from Gudara said: "Civilized countries talk about human rights and then they bomb us. Give my message to the Pentagon: This is our village. This is our only place for living." The official statement from the pentagon is that it regrets any unintended deaths. Notes: New York Times, December 2, 2001
