   I did not understand how truly deeply racism was embedded into the
   fabric of American culture, especially into non-white Americans, until
   I was arrested. In the bullpen I felt like I was in a place worse than
   the Playground. I felt like I was in danger of being murdered at
   anytime. I knew then that "my place" was upper-middle class neo-white.
   I felt like I had only one ally in the whole place, and he was another
   middle-class neo-white Irish guy. Otherwise, I was surrounded by
   blacks I believed were sub-morons and a few white bikers I perviced as
   white-trash. It was an enlightening experience.
   
   I don't want to let anyone in prison out. But I do want to kill most
   cops. After being arrested the image of the cop as Protector of Law
   was transformed into the image of Shithead With a Gun. I was arested
   by -black cops- so I do not see this whole cop thing as a racial issue
   (I get the sensation that MIM does). Not that I don't hate white cops,
   too. I can see where Tani is coming from on the color blue when I
   think about the people who where it.
