[[1]mim3@mim.org comments on "Tree of Destruction." See also responses to Tani on Frankenstein.] OK, the TOD diagram, that is pretty Marxist. The only way it can be distinguished from Marxism is by statements Tani makes that we have to try something other than revolutions of the Bolshevik sort. Well that implies the Reds didn't attack the root of the tree. But is it really true? Will it be faster at the tree tops we have been pushed to to see the tree collapse of its own weight? Will we be able to reach UP and attract a lightning bolt? Marxism does not look BACKWARD to things that cannot be restored. There is no economic power on earth that will carry out what Tani is saying. Tani comes off to me as circular. To me the solution to the root is replicators and free energy. The solution is not going back to nomadism. You may THINK this tree has it good in terms of being difficult to uproot, but it's branches may grow outward in such a direction as to CATCH a LIGHTNING BOLT. That is dialectics. ESCAPISM should be viewed as PART of the TOD. And if we focus on the top of the tree, we will see that it is much easier for TODAY's oppressors to point to those of 10,000 years ago to avoid getting blame. You see, the oppressors of 10,000 years ago are already DEAD. So then let's address Tani's Eastern tactics. Understanding that grass was green 10,000 years ago in no way requires one to see today's grass as green. The way you folks talk about this TOD it's an excuse to say grass is pink; it becomes another religion invented by intellectuals as Marx said.
