"The independence of a country is incomplete without
economic independence. The economic backwardness of the
Asian, African and Latin American countries is the
result of imperialist plunder. Opposition to economic
plunder and protection of national resources are the
inalienable sovereign rights of an independent state.
China is still an economically backward country as well
as a developing country. Like the overwhelming majority
of the Asian, African and Latin American countries, China
belongs to the Third World."
