House to impeach Gonzales?

U.S. House Representative Jay Inslee announced that on July 31 he will introduce a resolution to impeach Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.

There are five co-sponsors so far.(1)

A poll also shows 55% support for impeaching Cheney.(2) Cheney recently said he was a big fan of Gonzales and that he opposed the jury verdict against Libby in connection to Valerie Plame.(3)

Gonzales deserves impeachment, but MIM has thus far not campaigned for impeachment, because we see imperialism as a system. Practically it may mean there is no one to replace Alberto Gonzales before January 2009.

As MIM said about regime deterioration before, the Bush regime cannot take one more hard blow. There is some talk that the impeachment of Gonzales would placate Democrats. Others believe it would lead to Cheney next.
