This is an archive of the former website of the Maoist Internationalist Movement, which was run by the now defunct Maoist Internationalist Party - Amerika. The MIM now consists of many independent cells, many of which have their own indendendent organs both online and off. MIM(Prisons) serves these documents as a service to and reference for the anti-imperialist movement worldwide.
Maoist Internationalist Movement

What actions are necessary to join MIM?

  • See also, MIM's cardinal principles listed as "Three Points"
  • See also, "What is a cardinal principle?" What's the whole idea behind that concept?

The best way that readers not from the imperialist countries and their internal semi-colonies can contribute to MIM is by figuring out how to help revolution in their own countries. They should seek genuine anti-imperialist or Maoist organizations in their countries.

Secondly, just like everyone else, readers not from the imperialist countries and internal semi-colonies can:
    1) Send articles, posters or art work to MIM in any language to post on our website.
    2) Translate anything they see on the web page to another language and submit it to us.
    3) Form study groups to study MIM material or Maoism and send us statements to that effect.

If you live in a country ruled by imperialist puppet fascists or if you live in China, we recommend the following:
    1) Statements you send to MIM to publish should be vague enough so that no one can figure out precisely who wrote them.
    2) They need not call themselves parties if they do not consider themselves parties. "Study Group for Maoism in X" is good enough.
    3) Please assume that the authorities may be watching both in your country and the united $tates, so be careful!
    4) If you live in China, commenting on questions outside China may be safer than commenting on the Cultural Revolution or the current government!

We are glad to accept help from and help the world's majority of comrades who do not live in imperialist countries or their internal semi-colonies to the extent that we can, and we will certainly share information, but the comrades of most countries know the conditions there better than we do. We in the belly of the imperialist beast are playing a secondary role, fighting on the propaganda front. We know our limits and will not presume to direct the revolution in Third World or ex-Soviet countries. That is what Mao instructed during his battle with Wang Ming and why having one international central organization is a bad idea.

We only recruit in the Western majority-exploiter imperialist countries, because we understand their conditions and have developed a MIM Thought to apply the universal truth of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism to the parasitic countries. As of yet, we do not do any party-building work in Japan either, because we do not have any mastery of Japanese language. MIM recruits only in connection to imperialist countries and internal semi-colonies that speak in English, Spanish or French. Our long-run goal is to see individual parties form for each country and semi-colony.

As of the second session of MIM's 1999 Party Congress , anyone from majority-exploiter countries or internal semi-colonies speaking English, French or Spanish who upholds MIM's cardinal principles may come up with their own idea of what is necessary action and become an honorary member (HC) of MIM. If a leader in full-standing in the party witnesses or verifies that action on behalf of MIM, the HC is admitted.

A party leader in full-standing inside U.$. borders--a Central Committee member for instance--follows the guidelines of a book called the "primer." The primer contains regulations on how much money must be spent on revolution, branch organization, geographic location, sexual practices, practices on drugs (upholding the law) and many other items which make it very difficult to join the party as an MC. We generally suggest that people become RAIL members or HCs before they attempt following all the regulations of MIM members. The primer regulations can be exhausting if attempted immediately without step-by-step experience and thought.

Honorary members and some observor members can vote at MIM Congresses, but the Central Committee controls the floor.
