Attention prisoners

Does MIM forward mail?

Prisoners often ask MIM to mail out envelopes because 
many institutions have strict policies regarding 
frequency of correspondence. MIM is willing to mail 
letters (that are stamped) for prisoners. However, our 
security policy is that we know what it is that we are 
mailing. Please do not seal envelops you want MIM to 
forward. We are not interested in the content of your 
letter, just the content of the envelope.

Does MIM accept certified mail?

MIM does not accept certified or registered mail. 
Anything which requires MIM to give an individual's name 
and signature to Maoist organizing counters our 
understanding of the strength of the pigs. MIM will work 
with individual prisoners who believe they are getting 
mail censored. If that's the case with you, write to us 
so that we can begin to monitor communications and also 
give the information on censorship to legal supporters.
