This video lays to rest old bugaboos about Communists not 
caring about the environment or native peoples. Indeed, in the 
hills of Mindanao where the video is set, the issues are one 
and the same. Cadres of the New People's Army work with local 
tribes to implement an armed ban on rapacious logging by big 
bourgeois firms which threatens the culture and livelihood of 
the tribes. The video includes a discussion of the importance 
of the Second Great Rectification Movement, especially its 
positive impact on relations between the NPA and the masses.
