Communism ain't dead yet by Web Minister The Internet continues to provide communism an outlet that the mainstream media cannot stifle. Whereas communications for ordinary people are hampered by the police and lies by the media, the privileged who use the Internet currently have good access to communist analysis. We thank all the volunteers who write for MIM and do web work for MIM, MSG, PIRAO and RAIL. The statistics below are your success for our official web page at www.prisoncensorship.info/archive/etext . Number of hits September, 1999 63946 October, 1999 78250 November, 1999 86250 December, 1999 73086 January, 2000 79385 February, 2000 93570 March, 2000 90643 When we consider that the largest circulation of a social- democratic publication is 100,000 or less ("The Nation") we can see that the statistics prove there is no reason to compromise the truth for the benefit of comforting the ignorant. Even in U.$. history, the largest circulation newspaper has never gotten much past 100,000. When MIM's Internet and newspaper circulation are combined, MIM does not compare too badly with other historical efforts; although we would like to see both numbers for Internet and paper distribution greatly increased in depth and frequency. In the imperialist countries where armed struggle is not yet the principal method of advance, the Internet is a crucial tool. The vanguard and its allies should not make excuses for not being on the Internet anymore than a guerilla can make excuses for not understanding an AK-47. With the exception of those in prison, hospitals or non-imperialist countries, there is no reason not to use the most advanced communications methods for networking. We urge our friends and readers not to lag behind the reactionaries in this material regard.
