MIM Notes # 222 Nov 15, 2000 Build Proletarian Revolution: Work with the party Unaffiliated -- most of the people working with the party are completely unaffiliated. Many are anonymous and unknown to MIM entirely. RAIL(Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist League) -- for the beginners and also people on their way to becoming the party. RAIL agrees to follow party leadership. USW(United Struggle from Within) -- anti-imperialist mass organization for prisoners within the MIM-led United Front. MSG(MIM Supporters Group) -- for people who consciously disagree with our cardinal principles, believing some incorrect or in need of augmentation. MSG members still believe it is best to work with MIM given real world choices. Examples: Comrade does not agree with third cardinal principle or believes that a new cardinal principle should be made of practicing "free love." PIRAO(People's Internationalist Rear Area Organization) -- the unarmed MIM-led army for those not doing public opinion work either through news or theory--financial, technical, legal, medical and other infrastructural work that follows the PIRAO chief. HC(Honorary Comrade) -- honorary comrades uphold MIM's four cardinal principles and undertake some persynal practice verified by the Central Committee that benefits the party. HCs have no requirements of democratic centralism beyond having a verifiable persynal practice that the CC approves. People with major disagreements with MIM policies but no disagreements with the cardinals should be HCs. HCs vote at party congresses and seek to keep MIM on the anti-revisionist road. MC(MIM Comrade) -- MIM comrades uphold the four cardinal principles and acknowledge and defend the "primer," (MIM's rules and regulations) regardless of their own situation or persynal discomfort with the primer or other MIM policies. MCs are selected by the Central Committee for their actual implementation of party policies and defense of party interests. Example: Comrade agrees with the primer (party rules) and thinks its good for the party's interests, but does not live in a duly constituted branch as mandated by the primer. Metaphorically on some primer rules, the comrade is like someone who smokes and tells his/her kids not to. Alternates to the Central Committee -- Selected through a ranking process of the Central Committee, alternates are prepared to take up leadership roles should the CC be smashed. Convened with the CC just before annual congress, CC alternates get a vote on what subject can appear on the floor at congress, if there is any dispute. Example: Comrade might have some flaws via the rules and regulations but otherwise shows promising leadership qualities. Central Committee -- The party leadership expected to uphold the MIM rules and regulations called the primer to the letter. CC members control the floor of the party congress. CC is in charge of day-to-day affairs between congresses including selection of members ranging from HC to CC alternates.
