MIM Notes 223 December 1, 2000 Letters Vocabulary must serve revolution It seems to me that since we are about the business of preparing for the "Cultural Revolution", we must be ever cognizant of the fact that it will only be by the people. Agreed. And the people, physically, will not be moved to rebellious actions, seminally necessary, until and unless we capture their hearts, souls and imagination, viz. to debrief them and instill a new consciousness, of normalized partisan opinion. Agreed. Therefore, I encourage and applaud the development of a unique "revolutionary", very explicit, vocabulary, e.g. united snakes, u.$., Department of Corruption, Kolonial Koncentration Kamp, amerikkka, Public Pretenders, etc. But just as the Cultural Revolution is not yet accomplished, and what form "Popular Justice" will take (when it comes to taking a wo/man's life, viz., causing h death) we should never ever give credence, however subtle, well meaning and subliminal, to snake sanctioned or supported killings. What I mean is this: Never call a snake murder an execution! Words have significance. An "execution" brings to mind a justified and legitimate death to a person presumably worthy thereof. This could never be in a capitalist, fascist, imperialist, racist, society! Whether the victim is legally or factually guilty or innocent of the accusation used to justify it! And no matter what the accusations are! A murder by a snake is always murder, a killing by a snake is always a killing and criminal by necessity of sound reasoning. Only the people post-Cultural Revolution can pronounce popular justice -- and in whatever form or appellation it then uses. Mumia, if murdered, would be a martyr, but he can never be executed. Impossible! No amount of sophistication or rhetorical casuistry can change that fact. --A Pennsylvania prisoner, September 2000 MIM responds: Thank you, comrade for your summary of the reasons for adapting the English language to proletarian purposes. We agreed with you about the proper use of the word execution and murder. Occasionally, old words, constructions and ideas will slip in to MIM Notes. Therefore, we must be vigilant against such slippage while we continue to advance the state of revolutionary language. Just to clarify, however, we use the term "cultural revolution" differently than you do. The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution in China was a battle against party leaders who were attempting to restore capitalism and bourgeois rule to socialist China. That is, it was a means of class struggle within the dictatorship of the proletariat. Our first task -- and you seem to be in agreement with us here -- is to overthrow this reactionary Amerikan state, this dictatorship of the imperialist bourgeoisie. The Cultural Revolution was so named both because it involved criticizing bourgeois and pre-bourgeois ideas, and because it began in the cultural sphere. The Right had been using reactionary plays and other cultural works to promulgate their line. The Cultural Revolution began by exposing how such works served the interests of capitalists or the old feudal lords and not the people. Never too young to get involved Hello RAIL. My name is X. I'm 14 years old but I feel a deep hunger to find the "true" political party. Even at this young age I feel that it is my duty to be very weary of this deceitful government. I feel that I have the obligation to join a political movement (if I LIKE the organization), and make the government of our country crumble to the ground because of it's mistakes. I would love to be a member of your mailing list. The main reason I'm writing though is because I'm wondering if you could please send me some free info on the RAIL organization through snail- mail. Thank You Very Much, --a South Carolina Supporter MIM Responds: We commend this youth for taking a stand and wanting to get involved in politics while most amerikkkans spend time thinking only about themselves. MIM thinks you are never too young to get involved in politics. Children all over the world die by the millions from malnutrition. Young people your age around the world have come to understand that this is due to imperialism; many play important roles in revolutionary struggles. Youth in the U$ generally do not face perils like starvation, infectious disease, civil war, etc. Still, Amerikan youth live under an oppressive patriarchal system, are subject to police brutality (especially oppressed nation youth), will suffer the consequences of the destruction of the environment, will be the ones to fight in Amerika's military adventures, and have to deal with a degrading and oppressive culture. Amerikan youth are potential allies in the international struggle against exploitation and oppression. We encourage all youth living within the belly of the beast to become political traitors to U$ imperialism and build a movement in support of self-determination of all nations!
