This is an archive of the former website of the Maoist Internationalist Movement, which was run by the now defunct Maoist Internationalist Party - Amerika. The MIM now consists of many independent cells, many of which have their own indendendent organs both online and off. MIM(Prisons) serves these documents as a service to and reference for the anti-imperialist movement worldwide.
Maoist Internationalist Movement

What did you expect from "the best of all possible worlds"?

A senator and the Bush cabinet official called the Treasurer faced off in hearings in the Senate and got real persynal. In the process we find that Associated Press and CNN admit that Senator Robert Byrd (Democrat-W. Virginia) was a member of the Ku Klux Klan as a younger man.(1)

The count of priests caught in pedophile accusations in Boston has increased to 80. A poll shows that 58 percent of Catholics finally believe that Cardinal Bernard Law has done a bad job in his refusal to handle the situation prior to now. Almost a majority of Catholics want him to resign. The child molesting charges against priests have been circulating for years. The Boston Phoenix reported them again 10 months ago and the Boston Globe finally hit a nerve with another report as we go to press. There are only 932 priests in Cardinal Law's archdiocese. On February 8th, the number accused jumped from 60 to 80 as two more counties reported on their priests as finally instructed by Cardinal Law.(2) Such charges against the Church have existed throughout history. As the Boston case proves, gender oppression of children is not an isolated incidence. Something that widespread requires a system backing it. MIM believes that in imperialist society, it is the children who are truly sexually oppressed. Children are not "safe" in the family, in churches or in day-care centers, because me-firstism and low-life goals are the official ideology of the capitalist system. To think that profit-seeking can be legal and that that sort of belief will not rub off in all of society is wrong.
