This is an archive of the former website of the Maoist Internationalist Movement, which was run by the now defunct Maoist Internationalist Party - Amerika. The MIM now consists of many independent cells, many of which have their own indendendent organs both online and off. Memento (2001) - A very creative, somewhat funny mystery story that 
manipulates time and memory distortion. The filmmakers are going for a 
postmodern feeling of weightlessness, and they are successful. That's most of 
what makes the movie what it is. The silver lining from a Maoist perspective 
is very thin: that the plot reveals the impossibility of surviving truly 
alone; without cooperation and trust from others, individuals are ultimately 
vulnerable.
