Maoist Internationalist Movement

1999 MIM Congress Greetings, Session II

Santa Barbara RAIL

To the Central Committee of the Maoist Internationalist Movement

Revolutionary greetings and a clenched fist to you Comrades!

The Santa Barbara chapter of RAIL would like to extend our warmest greetings to the Spring Congress.

SB RAIL recognizes that MIM has the most advanced political line amongst other parties here in the belly of the beast. We uphold MIM's guiding principles as desirable and necessary for the advancement of political struggles crucial to the self-determination of all oppressed peoples and nations.

In this respect, SB RAIL holds MIM's theoretical leadership in high regard. Specifically, MIM's uncompromising stance on self-determination and its political analysis of the labor aristocracy are striking.

Furthermore, we are particularly impressed with the way in which MIM's theoretical guidance has translated into practice. In effect, practical leadership serves to provide concrete political direction for RAIL branches, and is manifested in many ways. The Free Books for Prisoners Program, conducting political studies, and actively exposing U$ imperialism in the Philippines are just few examples of how Party politics are put into practice.

SB RAIL would particularly like to commend local MIM leadership for their devout political inspiration by leading through example and for providing correct political direction for the anti-imperialist base here. Because of this leadership, SB RAIL has been able to conduct anti-imperialist agitation effectively for several years.

In closing, we wish MIM much more success in their on-going struggles toward justice and await the collective victories that is ours to gain, for we have nothing to lose but our chains.
