This is an archive of the former website of the Maoist Internationalist Movement, which was run by the now defunct Maoist Internationalist Party - Amerika. The MIM now consists of many independent cells, many of which have their own indendendent organs both online and off. MIM(Prisons) serves these documents as a service to and reference for the anti-imperialist movement worldwide.
Maoist Internationalist Movement

A correct pamphlet on Hoxha:

"Hoxha versus Mao Tsetung: Defend Marxism-Leninism and Mao Tsetung Thought"

  • Also, see our web page on Hoxha
  • See our web page on pseudo-Maoism
  • See our web page on what we are doing about sectarianism
  • Below is a German booklet translated into English about the difference between Mao's ideology and Enver Hoxha's.

MIM has the following criticisms of the booklet. One is that true to that organization's line, the term "petty-bourgeoisie" is over-used, especially in contexts where the term outright "bourgeoisie" would be more correct. People inside the party advocating across-the-board lines for the bourgeoisie in the division of labor, bonus policy, wages, worker control issues etc. are not just petty-bourgeoisie if they are sufficiently high-ranking in the party.

The plus side of the KABD usage of the term "petty-bourgeoisie" is to remind readers that not all exploiters are gigantic and so there is not a mystery about how common they are. The negative side is that the term distracts attention from the top power-holders in the party who do in fact have access to the means of production, potential control on behalf of a whole capitalist system with not just a petty-bourgeoisie, but an imperialist class in the case of the Soviet Union. The term also panders to those who do not realize for instance that the bourgeoisie existed as a class before capitalism achieved its dominance as a mode of production.

The booklet also refers to the current MLPD line making the "Three Worlds Theory" a question worth dividing parties over. MIM disagrees with that point.

In its vast majority of content, however, MIM agrees with the booklet here in its explanations of the problems with Hoxha's attacks on Mao. Hence, our redistribution of this booklet is part of our attack on sectarianism.

Readers of the pamphlet may want to consider enlarging or shrinking it in their .pdf reader. It should be correctly oriented, but your .pdf reader probably has the capability to rotate the document if need be.
