Revdrew at the www.2changetheworld.info says October 1, 2002: *Researches the DP of the RCP and the MIM* Hmmm... to me, a youth, MIM seems to be a bunch of paranoid nutters that refuse to do anything but sit around and talk nonsense all day. Those dudes are trippin', truly. Same thing with the CP-USA- they seem to have gone stagnant since 1956 and now do nothing but say "Uh.... vote for the Democrats. Yeah." RCP and the RCYB, however, seem to have something going.... Give me more time to research and, if I like what you guys are doing, you may just have a new comrade... *********************************************** mim3@mim.org replies for MIM: Several times on the Internet, the "RCP" and its supporters have claimed to have come to some divine revelation about "action" and how theirs is better than MIM's, so they don't have to justify leading the parasitic movement. First of all, there is no substitute for the correct line. It does not matter how much "action" one takes on behalf of a parasitic line: it does not lead forward. The restorations of capitalism in the Soviet Union and China should have proved beyond any doubt that it's not just a question of any "action," but where you are going. There have been more "actions" on behalf of Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin in China than all combined "actions" in the united $tates, but it was all in the wrong direction. Second of all, the deafening silence is on the membership requirements. As any MLMist knows, membership size says nothing. It's what the organization has going on PER persyn. The "RCP- USA" may have a large number of people in its circles, but what are the requirements per persyn? And why would someone pick an MLMist organization based on the total number of people hanging around rather than on what s/he is going to contribute as an individual? If one organization has easy-going requirements and gives people easy outs on theory questions, but the other is smaller because there is no getting around its mass work and theory struggle requirements, then anyone picking the larger group must be looking for an EXCUSE for lower level activity. At MIM, you will undergo intense criticism and you will see the logic of criticism, self-criticism and transformation or you won't join or hang about in the first place. Finally, one last point on this "action" question. MIM's strategic goal is to "build public opinion and the institutions of the oppressed" toward the national liberation movements and re-civilization stage of the dictatorship of the proletariat coming in North Amerika. Some of the measurements for that can be seen on our Web Minister's page People can judge a large portion of our success by looking at the progress in the web page statistics. If other parties say we are small, they are only proving that per comrade, we are more effective than they are, because our circulation is not so much less than any other organization's. In fact, in all likelihood, MIM has surpassed almost all of our critics in Internet traffic for the last 10 years.
