difference between the families that vacation in the Bahamas and the
families that have VCRs, air-conditioners and other major luxury 
goods-- even while on welfare. There is a question of degree only 
when it comes to distinguishing exploiters from exploited. The real 
question is where these welfare recipients would be if not for u.$.

And yah, people on welfare do end up in the Bahamas, because contrary
to your static everything-by-analogy-and-assumption view which just 
happens to be factually wrong, within 15 years, a persyn in the 
bottom 20% of the united $tates by income has an almost 30% chance 
of being in the top 20%. You haven't denied that the hard-core of 
the poor is disproportionately oppressed nationalities. The figures 
for whites are even more astounding than the average for the poor.

Even counting all the poor together, OVER 80% of the bottom 20% reach
the top 60% of society within 15 years. And shit yes, those top 60%
are going to the Bahamas. I don't know what world YOU are living in.

Finally, "the Bahamas" is merely a metaphor, a concrete stand-in for
the concept of luxury good consumption in general. It's too bad that 
aftersorrowcomesjoy has to explain that and that the "RCP-USA" plays 
stupid while knowing very well what the definition of exploitation 
is according to Marx.

Over and over the "RCP-USA" is saying on that website that whites 
are struggling to "pay the bills" "from paycheck to paycheck." That 
is also not the definition of exploitation or the reproduction of 
the labor-force. In the Third World proletariat, they do not receive 
the credit card to buy the VCR and CD-player before they 
have "problems paying the bills."

Plenty of capitalists have problems paying the bills and go out of 
business. In fact, Marx said the vast majority 
of capitalists would eventually go out of business--have problems 
paying the bills. That does not mean that those capitalists were 
proletarian while paying the bills 
or cutting it close! We are not even mentioning the capitalists who 
DO end up having drug problems, domestic abuse problems etc. who 
lose it all. Are you going to tell us to organize for their class 
demands too? Qualitatively, that is already what you are doing.
There is only a matter of degree separating you from the 
"Millionaire Consumers against Defective Yachts Association."
