RIM spreads confusion about TKP/ML by the International Minister of the Maoist Internationalist Movement, July 10, 2002 The expulsion of the TKP/ML--the party leading People's War in Peru-- by the RIM is now in the open. See, http://www.awtw.org/current_issues/index.htm and http://www.awtw.org/current_issues/28_OGsPolemic.htm MIM has been promoting the TKP/ML since the 1990s through MIM organs of public opinion. We have also queried the TKP/ML to sign our "W.E.B. DuBois" declaration without a reply. Once again, MIM does not belong to a COMINTERN and we do not claim to know every last thing about Turkish politics. Rather comrades have to choose their comrades in other countries based on the closest approximation of cardinal principles and have faith in their scientific comrades in many contexts. The alternative is to become Turkish oneself and know all the facts or to admit that you did not pick the right comrades to begin with. Although the RIM document purports to be a letter to the TKP/ML, readers will notice that it mostly refers to historical background and another organization that the RIM has been supporting. "A World to Win" did not come clean on this issue. Nonetheless, every document must be evaluated for its line and we would say the AWTW document may be 80% correct, with one proviso. The criticism is mostly correct but does not apply to the TKP/ML in most regards. Rather we suggest reading this document as a correct statement against an imaginary enemy. Was the RIM talking to the same people that the MIM is thinking of in the TKP/ML? Who knows. More importantly, it should not be known, because security should come before neo-colonial uses of the Peoples' Wars in the Third World--an important reason there should be no COMINTERN. One interesting point in the document is that it berates the TKP/ML for not talking about the split in the working class. To our knowledge, this is not factually accurate, but more importantly, it is classic for the "RCP-USA"-led RIM to talk about the split and leave it at a purely theoretical level, a one-sentence theoretical level. Perhaps if the "RCP-USA" had connected the movement for reparations and internationalist struggles and if perhaps the "RCP- USA" had itself done a calculation of the surplus-value extracted by U.$. imperialism each year, all these parties that the "RCP-USA" talks to would have something concrete to go on. That's not to mention that the whole history of the concept of "social- imperialism" originates with the history of the labor aristocracy. MIM believes it is in a position to criticize other parties about the labor aristocracy, because MIM has gotten into the details. "RCP- USA" uses the concept of "proletariat" the same way Kautsky did, in a centrist way, and its criticisms of other parties using the concept of "proletariat" only discredits communists from Lenin onwards. While Ludo Martens and the PTB are the numerical center of gravity in the new revisionism, the Grand Central Station of revisionism, locating "RCP-USA" revisionism will make it possible to sweep aside almost all other revisionisms in the imperialist countries. Grasp the struggle against "RCP-USA" revisionism and the struggles against other revisionisms will be easier and more in the open, because other revisionist parties are closer to outright honest reformism, and only state what the "RCP-USA" does more baldly.
