This is an archive of the former website of the Maoist Internationalist Movement, which was run by the now defunct Maoist Internationalist Party - Amerika. The MIM now consists of many independent cells, many of which have their own indendendent organs both online and off. MIM(Prisons) serves these documents as a service to and reference for the anti-imperialist movement worldwide.

MIM's central task: "to create public opinion and the independent institutions of the oppressed to seize power."

Skyrocketing out of nowhere, MIM's Palestinian readership took first place among countries reading us ranking-wise, according to Internet web traffic monitor Alexa as of June 24th. On the strength of the article, Amerikan diplomacy: the one note song MIM's website drew some interest that is quite timely. Not only is the Palestinian issue hot, but Ward Churchill faces punishment at his university at the end of July, above all for his solidarity with the Palestinian people. After MIM organized to stop the deportation of another professor, Dennis Brutus, we asked Brutus to get deported again, because it was so damaging to u.$. imperialism to have the world see that case. Likewise, we are hitting Amerikan imperialism in its international McCarthyite blindspot with Ward Churchill.

Also in the past few months, you our readers have boosted us into the top 10 "socialist" websites for the world. We were already second behind the social-fascist "Communist Party of China" in the communism category, because Internet does not do justice to many Third World parties. However, now we are in the top 10 of world "socialist" websites, with the bottom five of us pretty much within close reach of each other. As usual in recent years, the British Trotskyists are ahead of us, but other organizations considered "socialist" are considerably mushier and more eclectic than MIM. Again it goes to show that political mushiness and people-centered politics do not equal influence.

There was a time when MIM led all these organizations in the rankings, because MIM was an Internet pioneer, but resurgence now is a sign that you our readers can see MIM is just fooling around sometimes and now some of you are back. After all, why would you read the "Utne Reader" or some other mushy website? How many of MIM's competitors have FISA warrants issued against them? So why would you go anywhere else? Obviously the imperialists have determined that in practice MIM knows something you our readers are not supposed to know.
