This is an archive of the former website of the Maoist Internationalist Movement, which was run by the now defunct Maoist Internationalist Party - Amerika. The MIM now consists of many independent cells, many of which have their own indendendent organs both online and off. MIM(Prisons) serves these documents as a service to and reference for the anti-imperialist movement worldwide.

Update from Web Minister: new rules

October 2, 2006

In conjunction with International Ministry, we are adopting new rules for this, the party-level website.

All writers and affiliated organizations must take a stand against the defeat of Iran by U.$. imperialism as organized by the fake "Marxist-Leninist-Maoist" Iranian section of the RIM. We need these stands sent to us in writing in the name of their organization.

MIM will not be building up writers or organizations that are going to turn around and say they do not see what is cardinally wrong with the RIM position on Iran. There are many people digesting the MIM website and not taking a stand. Now we require those working with us to take a stand.

As always we are happy to work with anti-militarist or anti-imperialist groups that do not make party-level claims on their issues without reference to questions of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. However, this here is the party-level website and the ideology of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism is going to be made crystal clear.

Partija Rada, we have not succeeded in contacting you. Please write in!

El Diario Internacional, you are not affiliated with us, but we have still tried to contact you!

The following statement is our suggestion, which you can endorse as a co-signer or send your own statement.

We call for the disbanding of the RIM (Revolutionary Internationalist Movement).

"Some of us believe we are in the era of Mao and uphold Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. Others of us believe we are still in the era of Lenin. Regardless, we the undersigned are all sure that Mao did not deserve the fate of being associated with the RIM's strategy of defeatism in Iran. In hundreds of struggles Mao supported both materially and politically, he never once called for an oppressed nation to be defeated by U.S. imperialism. The stand for the defeat of Iran by U.S. imperialism can only be that of imperialist infiltrators in our movement, not the stand of a real follower of Mao. RIM has had adequate time to correct itself on this score and it has proved unable to do so at a time when the whole world has eyes on Iran and the Middle East in its struggle against U.S. imperialism. We simply cannot afford more time lost on this. There must be a staunch example in the imperialist countries opposing imperialist war and a staunch example in all oppressed nations that U.S. imperialism should be defeated.

"Stalin and Mao both favored the dissolution of the Comintern and the RIM never had a reason for re-creating an international center. Organizations should sign joint statements, but all organizations should retain their strategic and tactical decision-making abilities.

"The RIM has an history of forming principally out of the United States as Comrade Gonzalo of the PCP himself said. Before his arrest, Gonzalo was undertaking a struggle against U.S.-based "hegemonism" in the RIM. With the events of 2006, it is time for all genuine followers of Mao to acknowledge that RIM is beyond repair."

If this statement does not make sense to you and you have been following MIM's "What's New" page, then you may want to consider that you should work on improving reading comprehension as your principal task. You can also check your security and then go to the IRTR website where they are so generous as to try to explain this Iran question.

Communism is not just a dusty historical exercise. Some people alive today went through World War II, the Chinese Revolution, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and even Mao's Cultural Revolution. Others of us today are young and for them, this could be their first direct experience with the struggle for definition in the international communist movement. The youth can say they had their experience in 2006 on Iran. This is a real live schism in the international communist movement for people of our day. On the one side are U.$. spies and Liberal followers of identity politics who will say "yes" to whatever any Third World face says to them. On the other side are those trying to defend and apply Mao's teachings on a cardinal question. Uncle $am is quite willing to pay for any Third World face to show up in front of us and tell us anything we want to hear as long as we help in defeating Iran.

To answer specific questions, who is more advanced in Iran than the RIM party, the answer is that even the president of Iran is more advanced than U.$. spies. Any random national bourgeois is more advanced than parties that try to destroy Maoism from within in service to U.$. imperialism.

Does MIM's requirement of a statement on this question mean that MIM is a new Comintern? No, MIM affiliated and fraternal organizations retain their strategic and tactical identities. We are only saying that we will not be publicizing or working at the party-level with people who do not share a joint statement level understanding of Maoist line that excludes spies infiltrating and running organizations for u.$. imperialism. If you have read about this RIM stand on Iran and you cannot piece together why MIM is saying this, or if you just do not agree, then you should not be working with MIM at a party-level.
