We of the National Plantation Psychosis Awareness Committee (NPPAC) extend our revolutionary greetings, respect and thanks to all of our outside supporters and activists, especially MIM, as well as all the Political Prisoners of War (PPOWs) who have responded and continue to respond with full support and participation in this state wide 3-Strike Backlash Campaign that was initiated by NPPAC on February 26, 2003 to resist CDCs illegal practice of forced double celling.
We further encourage you to remain steadfast in your demonstrations throughout CDC and continue your efforts in this 3-strike backlash campaign to economically and strategically break the state of California's back and set the captives free from this racist 3-strike law that affects all prisoners in general, and all people of color in particular, with heightened emphasis on Black males.
With the Supreme Court's final decision in both the Andrade and Ewing cases it should now be crystal clear to all parties concerned, that the California PPOWs are in an extreme state of emergency and that appealing to Amerikkka's moral turpitude and/or social compassion, if that were possible, is an ineffective approach to our objectives of justice, liberation and the complete abolishment of this racist 3-strike lynch clause.
If we are to accomplish this most worthy and monumental task of liberation we must continuously, collectively, progressively and legally attack the states economic base and close the profit margin of our incarceration. The only sure and effective way to do this is from within by collectively resisting CDC's illegal practice of forced double celling. This illegal practice of forced double celling is the only single element which makes California's 3-strike law both economically and physically possible. By us resisting this illegal practice of forced double celling, the state of California will be left with but two options of either reducing the prison population by at least 65% or building at least forty more prisons in addition to the already existing thirty-four. Given the present and future state of the economy, the taxpayers will not support the option of building forty more prisons over the already demand for health care, education, etc. Therefore the only viable option left will be to drastically reduce the prison population by way of completely abolishing the draconian race/poverty based 3-strike lynch clause and provide release dates for those still doing time under the old seven years to life law of the 1970s.
In a vain, but anticipated attempt to stifle and/or contain this state-wide 3-strike backlash campaign, CDC has (1) assigned its institutional security units to intercept all direct attempts to notify the mainstream news media of this state-wide campaign; (2) launched an intimidation campaign by issuing serious rule violation reports and an assortment of disciplinary actions against the PPOWs for allegedly inciting mass demonstrations to refuse housing; and (3) claim to have not received the class action grievance addressing CDC's illegal practice of forced double celling that was initially submitted by this writer in July of 2002.
However, these futile reactionary tactics of social control will not and can not distract nor discourage us from our objectives and commitment to setting the captives free from this race/class based 3-strike lynch clause, as well as the seven to life sentences that were imposed upon us over twenty years ago without reprieve.
It should be noted that we of NPPAC and our supporters consider all inmates to be PPOWs. Therefore, we appeal to all inmates throughout CDC to join us in this campaign for your liberation by resisting CDC's illegal practice of forced double celling.
It is also pertinent that all PPOWs completely understand that if our inside demonstration is undisciplined and/or non-committed, our outside representation will be reflective of this flaw. Therefore, we further encourage all conscious PPOWs to continue educating those amongst us who may still be trapped in the triple stages of darkness (deaf, dumb and blind) and to align them with this campaign to attack the economic base and structure of this beast in order to effectively challenge and abolish the racist laws which hold us all captive and strategically target and drain our communities of its most precious and valuable resources, namely our youth.
We must multilaterally continue pushing this campaign from within and without until every prison yard, dayroom, gym, workplace, etc, throughout CDC is bursting at its seams with tents, sleeping bags, cots and an immediate need for 50,000+ unavailable cells as a direct result of us simply but collectively resisting, challenging and exposing CDCs illegal practice of forced double celling.
