November 2 2007
Monday November 5 is the deadline to devolve from the mothership ETEXT MIM cell. We have said for a long time that people must prepare for the day that comrades would be on their own.
By November 5, comrades should have a public practice apart from the original MIM ETEXT cell. Previous internal rules referred to a "mass practice."
We are sure some are contemplating life without the MIM cell's instruction or even opposing MIM. We contend that life goes better with our leadership. This thesis will be put to the test now. We will see who agrees with that and who does not.
Democratic-centralism is valuable for discipline. After November 5, it will be difficult to guarantee what would happen if comrades thought they were still attached to the ETEXT MIM cell and MIM proceeded with its own direction. The original MIM cell will have to go forward with its own agenda. Hopefully it can do so without seeing too much disorder. That will be up to our comrades to finally accept that it is time. It is simply very difficult when people do not go forward in coordinated and publicly accountable fashion. MIM's international outreach activities are simply too complicated for MIM to advance them any other way.
We hope that our comrades will not dishonor the original MIM cell. Obviously it is a political decision on how people want life to become complicated.
