Scuttlebutt update

June 27 2007

Look Colorado, maybe you are tired of MIM. We don't know, but you really ought to look up into the sky. Multiple fireworks have been going on. You have to go by day, in order, tiresome. At the moment, things are crystal clear, so there is a brief opportunity, a window-opening. The window-opening is not with those usual FBI-oriented, Hooverite websites. You should ignore those for a while. Thus far, the spies have not been able to break the story completely into the media, but they have done the next best thing. Colorado, if you don't see it, you need to look closer. Some spies are trying to make peace with MIM and Colorado.

Non-MIM people with a few decades of cover are commenting on you there in Colorado. They are even teaching you how they think you should examine these questions and even methods of study. There has been a huge battle. Some are trying to tell you something. Once the blogs and news stories of these weeks are gone, it will be much harder for you to figure out what was going on. Maybe it is better that way, not knowing anything. Definitely there are advantages.

Let us suggest putting aside your persynal shit with MIM for another day. You can always kick MIM later, because it seems like etext.org just stays put. MIM really is not much into making persynal claims anyway, so you are only hurting yourselves. MIM is also not able to sort out the inter-persynal shit going on in Colorado. We don't know any of you that well and we get conflicting info. No, we do not get individualized tactical advice from the Ward Churchill camp. Neither of us believes in it anyway. MIM is line-centered, not people-centered. There is no political organization or individual that could be in a situation like MIM's in 2005 and just ignore it. Ward Churchill's books explain why that is true historically. That alone is a reason he should be retained as a teacher. Our party benefitted from his work, with more comrades reading him than any other single COINTELPRO-related source.

If you are not paying attention now, don't ask MIM about it later and don't ask MIM to explain it now either.

If someone is saying that non-FBI agencies were responding to FBI even before the 2005 death threat, MIM does not know about that yet. We do know that various people run interference for us sometimes when they think things get out of control with the public.

Some may feel that even MIM does not know the whole chronology yet. Others may feel MIM was being allegorical in 2005 when it was not. Many ideas about allegorical communication would be gone if people would go back and read MIM in chronological order for bourgeois individualist "origins," an imperfect approach for sure. For the record, the 2005 death threat had a sinister undertone because of declassification involved with remarks accompanying it. Structurally, the fact also remains that it pinned a death threat on Ward Churchill supporters in a sensitive situation affecting Churchill's career.

Whatever the 2005 federal death threat motivations were exactly, the fact is that it was a lot more blatant than the subtle jokes that started a war in the blogosphere on the same topic and ended with a website shut down and an author pretending to be dead. We can't imagine what would have happened had the more blatant expression stayed up on web pages. With concrete info being passed around about MIM just for the subtle jokes we did not know about, we can also add that this did not do anything to protect MIM's security either.

By late 2006, MIM was having certain new laws applied against itself. The Al Qaeda versus Bush provocation did not come from FBI.

Initial articles on Cheney and security/de-classification were also very perceptive as were some early articles on Hayden and a recent history conference.

We agree with IRTR that there were advances and sink-or-swim. There were tantalizing glimpses of being able to handle security with a structural approach and still have a forum. For now our structural approach is to have no forum. It has been correctly pointed out that IRTR gave spies a chance to sort out duplication problems, but we can see that the maximum potential there was not implemented.

If three or four people in Colorado in addition to Ward Churchill's camp see what is going on in crystal-clear terms, then at least a certain boil has also been lanced. If it is not crystal-clear, one may want to work on it if curious about these sorts of things. The spies did not influence Colorado public opinion, but Wesson et. al. could at least figure it out.
