By International Minister, MIM, September 18, 2006
MIM calls on the world's genuine communists to break publicly with the RIM ("Revolutionary International Movement" which stole our name for Trotskyist and State Department use) and its conciliators. At any given moment, there is no saying how many of us are bought-off even directly as CIA stooges. There is even an in-between group on the margin as in Egypt who were lackeys and are now leaving Uncle $am's embrace.
But the international proletariat has to have a way to draw practical conclusions. If Maoists in the Philippines say their regime is the principal enemy of the Filipino people, that is fine on account of the situation of semi-feudalism. However, if Secretary of State Rice starts calling the Filipino regime the principal contradiction for the whole world, and Bush sends in some spotter troops, we expect to hear those Filipino Maoists change their line, quickly and decisively. If they do not, even after a few months of polemics, they have to be broken with. There's no saying how many of us in the world are bought-off or on CIA payroll. So when political events come along, they are an opportunity for the bourgeoisie to confuse us, but also for us to have the dust cleared out of our eyes.
In reality, a genuine Maoist party would be attuned to what is happening in its country and would break
with Rice & Bush before MIM noticed anything happening. The proletariat has the right to expect
that much from its vanguard parties. Now we are left in a position where unfavorable comparisons are piling up.
1) Imperialists are accusing Iran of sending military and other aid to rebels in Iraq and Lebanon to target imperialists.
Meanwhile, RIM-related parties are saying the people of Iran are pacifist. No one claiming to be Maoist was there
to bail out southern Lebanon when I$rael attacked for example. Those are very unfavorable comparisons for us.
2) Ahmadinejad has united front with Third World leaders obviously and in the open, and giving
credit to Venezuela's Chavez for example for being "practical" in his assistance to Third World self-determination.
He has proved that he can go beyond mumbo-jumbo when it comes to u.$. imperialism.
Meanwhile, the crypto-Trotskyists of the RIM obviously do not believe in united front since they are peddling that the Islamic
Republic of Iran is the principal enemy of the Iranian people.
3) Ahmadinejad challenged Bush to a TV debate on the nuclear energy question while RIM-related organizations are quoting the New York Times on the issue and threatening Iran.
On all these subjects, the RIM is proving itself a brazen lackey of u.$. imperialism. Organizations that continue to conciliate with the RIM are only destroying their own reputations. There was never any basis in Stalin or Mao to form a Comintern to begin with. Now when we find RIM again fulfilling State Department orders, there has to be a break by all genuine Maoists concerned. There are no genuine Maoists not actively denouncing what is being done to the name of "Maoism" in the Middle East by the RIM. There are not words foul enough for this abuse of Mao's legacy.
