To the Ward Churchill legal team

CC: University of Colorado and senior intelligence officials

We want to make clear that we stand behind you in revealing the federal government's intimidation of your supporters and its interference at the University of Colorado Law School in particular. On behalf of its agents that FBI feels have been exposed for eternity by Ward Churchill's books, FBI ran roughshod over the Bill of Rights, conducted red-baiting, threatened jobs and created a violent and embarrassing atmosphere for a member of the Law School while trying to pin most of it on MIM. This has to do partly with confusion at the Department of Homeland Security on why intelligence and domestic police work used to be separate and why undercover work on intelligence and domestic matters should not be mixed together.

Regarding your legal case to return Ward Churchill to teaching at the University of Colorado, MIM would like to make it clear that we agree with you that the Law School in particular should not have been involved in your evaluation and we apologize for so slowly piecing together what has happened and why you made that request.

We encourage you to conduct a legal investigation wherever it may lead. We at MIM are not afraid of the intimidation--the whole pedophile, rape, terrorism, weapons of mass destruction and spying rap. Whatever it takes to win, you should do. If MIM identities end up exposed, we are going to take down many others with us and provoke international repercussions.

To the feds trying to decapitate MIM leadership, realize that there is no one in MIM who is going to stand for not winning the Ward Churchill case. There is 100% unity there. Be clear we are not going to allow decapitation of leaders you are most afraid can connect the dots and exact the full cost of "joint work." The feds should have heeded MIM's earlier warnings, because MIM will not ask Ward Churchill to finesse the federal government's defeat the way MIM would. It would be unethical for MIM to ask Ward Churchill to arrange for other than piecemeal exposure of the federal government's role.

1. We call on the Law School to recognize that it made a mistake in partaking in Ward Churchill's case. We hope that it will begin to piece together the role of the FBI in influencing the evaluation of Ward Churchill's teaching credentials. When the Law School realizes that the FBI created an extremely intimidating and inflamed atmosphere for one of its members, we hope it will correct its own mistaken role. The FBI presents its side in a sterile fashion, with the benefit of hiding multiple identities undercover, but most of the truth lies on Ward Churchill's side. A legal investigation would uncover what the FBI's role has been. Even if MIM has some of the details wrong--and let's be clear that MIM itself has no jobs FBI can threaten in this regard--it would likely only be because there is a relationship of the FBI to the Law School that MIM was unaware of. Given the substance of Ward Churchill's famous works, there is no place for an FBI relationship to the Law School's evaluation of him. MIM is troubled by the idea that an institution which produces future prosecutors that need a cozy relationship with the FBI ended up evaluating Ward Churchill's work.

The FBI is very pig-headed in defending "its own," in this case to a mind- boggling extent even MIM was unprepared to see given MIM's daily interactions with FBI and CIA. The FBI is retaliating against Ward Churchill for his historical work on its agents.

Investigating the FBI/joint work role behind-the-scenes in the Ward Churchill firing will lead to many subjects the FBI and intelligence agencies will call classified. Thus anytime we ask whether the federal government played a role in creating an intimidating atmosphere for a Law School member and tried to pin it on Ward Churchill supporters, the answer will be "it's classified." It is inevitable that people in the Law School are going to figure this out, so we call on the federal government to bring this farce to an end, and quickly. Don't imagine that MIM is going to tolerate it in this case.

Also regarding the Law School, the federal government has gone to extreme lengths to lobby a certain individual with regard to a certain view of MIM. This is done in the disguise of various political outlooks for "balance," but all such views present the government's version of the facts. This is also troubling and the Law School needs to be aware of this practice.

2. MIM is still staggered and mind-boggled by what joint federal forces imagined they would get away with in the Ward Churchill case. MIM hopes to resolve this case with the least rocking of the boat possible, but we request that senior intelligence management quickly come to an understanding of what "joint work" just linked together and opened to Ward Churchill's discovery process in court. Let there be no doubt: MIM knows how to fight this battle and will assist in the discovery process.

We encourage Ward Churchill to discover the federal role in his attempted firing:
1) To investigate blog authorship.
2) To investigate federal creation of forums, weapons provocations and death threats involving the University of Colorado Law School.
3) To investigate legal threats against MIM if it revealed the truth of who did what.
4) To investigate the attempt to involve Congress to pass legislation to shut up MIM.
5) To investigate the role of the President.

Inevitably Ward Churchill's legal investigation process will lead into MIM circles, but MIM has always said that spies outnumber MIM comrades. We are used to leaving things that way, but for the Ward Churchill case, we are willing to see the boat rocked as far as it needs to be. Some appearances and motivations one would assume to exist are exactly the opposite.

That's not to mention "ongoing operations" that "joint work" just opened to Ward Churchill's discovery. Had any experienced intelligence people played a sufficient role, we are sure MIM would not have to be talking about this now. The sooner competent people think ahead to the inevitable, the sooner we can finesse the conclusion and return to normal. The FBI played its only card against MIM and it was a good one, but not without an overall strategy to win. FBI only succeeded in pulling back the cover on its own role slightly and making MIM monumentally pissed. We repeat: FBI has won nothing. MIM has been sickened, staggered and delayed, but we want to see this struggle push as far as is necessary to win.

MIM will start reading Ward Churchill web pages to look for indications of an agreement on parts or the entirety of his case. If we do not see an agreement with the Law School, the University of Colorado or federal agencies, we will assume this matter is unresolved and this web page and possibly future ones will remain up, rather undiplomatically. We expect to hear Ward Churchill restored to teaching on the basis of sanity, that the issues in this case should not be brought to a civil trial. Some people better start thinking about "national security." At the very least, if the joint task forces want MIM to back off, they better come up with a statement suitable for Ward Churchill's court use admitting to the general outlines of the federal role. Perhaps then some University of Colorado bureaucrats would figure out why they are wrong.

It is possible new legal fronts in Ward Churchill's case will need to be opened. Lawyers willing to assist MIM on the Ward Churchill case might start by contacting him.
