Bring Books for Prisoners to the Diag April 22nd
The Amerikan prison system serves only as a tool for social control and
for national oppression. Look at the fact that 51% of those controlled by
the gulag system are Black when the Black nation makes up only 14% of the
united snakes in general. The prison system serves the interests of
settler colonialism and to further keep down the oppressed. There is no
agenda of reform or rehabilitation in prisons, many prisoners are kept
from even receiving basic newspapers and are refused the ability and
resources to educate themselves.
As MIM and RAIL work to tear down the system which feeds on the blood of the oppressed, we also aid our comrades under lock and key to get the resources they need to politicize, organize and educate one another.
April 22nd is the last day of class for UM, Ann Arbor. Bring the books to donate to MIM's Books for Prisoners educational work to the diag between 11am and 4pm. If it rains, RAIL will collect books in the fishbowl. If you can't make it send the books (along with some dough to mail them off to prisoners) to P.O. Box 3576, Ann Arbor, MI. 48106-3576
