MIM's central task: "to create public opinion and the independent institutions of the oppressed to seize power."

This is just a brief report. In March, we had almost 97,000 users of our web page. Readership zoomed to a whole new level. Single articles received as many hits as our top departments did not long ago. Appropriate comparisons would be the Nation magazine circulation in the bad old days of print journalism. The Black Panther newspaper also circulated at that level, but of course, we have more people to reach today than they did then. On the other hand, not long ago, we told readers that we equalled Lenin in 1915 in readers, but his population was smaller. About now the story is getting to be much more even per capita, with us starting to compare with pre-revolution Lenin in per capita circulation. MIM's circulation also surpasses that of most ordinary town newspapers.

February was not bad either with over a gigabyte of material going out per day.

Had we we not fouled up, we would have printed our regular issues of MIM Notes and maybe we would have crossed the arbitrary 100,000 mark, which we probably did anyway given how MIM does not count many networks at all in these report statistics. We did not print a MIM Notes and that hurts our web page readership as well.

If the past is any indicator, we have a good chance to cross 100,000 and beyond in April and May. Let's all make a big push to get on our way to our goal of 500,000 readers in our Five Year Plan. In the bad old days of print journalism, a circulation of 500,000 only went to a very influential newspaper like the New York Times. For us to reach our goals we will have to continue obtain evermore original material and expand into other realms.

We have fallen behind our Five Year Plan goals, but nonetheless, at the current pace as extrapolated from the last two years' data, we will reach our 500,000 readers by some time in 2011.
