Russia to bid for I$rael-Iran war:

Axis of evil is back!

I$rael dropped some tanks in Turkey and carried out a mission against Syria that the air force did not know about, till it entered the air. Bush lackeys spread rumors about a northern Korean connection to events in Syria.

"A spokesman for the DPRK [northern Korea--ed.] Foreign Ministry gave the following answer to a question put by KCNA Tuesday in connection with the fact that Israeli warplanes invaded Syria's territorial air space: Early in the morning of Sept. 6 Israel's warplanes illegally intruded into the territorial air above Syria and dropped bombs in the desert in its northeastern area before fleeing. This is a very dangerous provocation little short of wantonly violating the sovereignty of Syria and seriously harassing the regional peace and security. The DPRK strongly denounces the above-said intrusion and extends full support and solidarity to the Syrian people in their just cause to defend the national security and the regional peace."(1)
Oil prices are continuing to spike upwards to record levels. The Russians benefit the most if war with Iran stops the flow of Mideast oil. Russia is the second largest oil exporter after Saudi Arabia. Venezuela will also profit nicely.

A two year crimp in supplies caused by a shooting war with Iran could easily see Russia gain a windfall of $100 billion or more once natural gas prices go up in tandem with oil. With I$rael's entire GNP only $140 billion, Russia could afford a good-sized bribe to make it worthwhile for an I$raeli attack on Iran.

Hatred of Iranians and Mexicans seem to be in season, so MIM will predict an interest rate decline! Even talking about a war on Iran boosts the price of oil on world markets dominated by speculators. This in turn puts a cramp on economic growth and causes a need for a decline in the interest rate.

The so-called "price elasticity" of oil products is in doubt as existing at all at the moment. Oil prices have increased over 600% since 1999, but demand continues upward. If there is a price elasticity at all,(2) it is very small in the sense that a very large price rise is the only thing that will drive down demand a small bit. Total recession or depression is the only sure-fire way to reduce demand. A shooting war with Iran may just do the trick.

On the other hand, Russia has a new prime minister and a deputy speaker of Russia's parliament offered high praise. "Lyubov Sliska, told reporters that Mr. Zubkov’s 'entire working life deserves a Hero of Socialist Labor award.'"(3) He got his start as a spy in India.(4)

France has also called for war preparations against Iran.(5)

MIM's humor turns out to be based on more reality than the Pentagon's press releases about "dead-enders."(6)
