There has been an alarming increase of police brutality in recent years both locally and nationally. In St. Louis, police officers have been accused of serious human rights violations, including severe beatings and unjustifiable shootings. Yet, we know that many cases of police brutality go unreported because most victims justly fear revenge from trigger happy, reckless cops. Why? Because the only place victims are able to report these criminal acts is to the internal affairs bureau of the St. Louis police department. Victims don't trust the same department which excuses the criminal actions of their employees.
This is why the RAIL has started the "Cop Watch" Hot Line. Now victims of police terror have a place to report these human rights violations confidently without fear of reprisal. If you are abused or if you witness the police abusing others call (314) 995-4924: Describe only the facts as clearly and briefly as possible (Three minute air time); leave a name if you wish and a number or address we can reach you at.
The Cop Watch Hot Line is a serve the people program which is totally independent of any government, corporate, or other institutional entity. RAIL views police terror as an instrument of white, capitalist rule and is dedicated to the destruction of imperialism and white supremacy.
