The Web Ministry is closing down for the summer except for Party Congress reports and one last PIRAO report. HC116 has volunteered to set up a new mimnotes.info website, which will be a place to obtain non-prison news.
The new website is authorized by MIM to be:
1) English-only.
2) News/agitation only.
For history, theory and various languages, people will still have to refer to the material on the www.prisoncensorship.info/archive/etext. Our line on the importance of distinguishing party-building and public opinion creation is available in a new web page intended to be about so-called left-wing organizations in the majority-exploiter countries and their internal semi-colonies in general as opposed to specific individual organizations.
HC116 is a very capable comrade who has studied and is studying Marxism-Leninism-Maoism-MIM line intensively. There's no such thing as "fair" written by God in the sky, only struggle for progress in a given historical context. So we are hoping that after the summer we can call mimnotes.info an official MIM website. However, that is putting a lot on HC116 for various reasons we will not get into here.
One reason that the project could fail is that the Party Center may not have had the resources (historical inevitability) or the Party Center may have failed to allocate resources correctly. What we should count as resource allocation includes allocation of comrades with the correct "seasoning" as Lenin called it.
We know from direct experience and also historical observation, the only question with a comrade like HC116 is whether s/he sets up to sustain the level of contributions. Our readers already know HC116 as a "hot hand." If comrade HC116 loses interest, the failure of mimnotes.info to become official will be HC116's fault.
Everything can be in place when comrades degenerate. Huey Newton took a hail of police bullets and proved his dedication to revolution in the 1966 to 1970 period, but he still degenerated later. This brings us to how we do not vouch for HC116 or anyone else and we simultaneously ask for a new pattern of work and study using mimnotes.info. We have to judge comrades by the context of struggle and whether the job is getting done.
Whenever one takes up a new pattern of work, one should review one's security situation. Thus far, people should have assumed that infiltrators are spying on them in connection to MIM. Likewise, it is now with the unofficial mimnotes.info.
We hope that the mimnotes.info project also serves as a model of what to do in the event MIM is smashed. The ETEXT MIM website is one basis of our hope for keeping Maoism going in the majority-exploiter countries and for more HC116s to develop, because www.prisoncensorship.info/archive/etext has an unprecedented quantity of material online with a coherent line.
