This is an archive of the former website of the Maoist Internationalist Movement, which was run by the now defunct Maoist Internationalist Party - Amerika. The MIM now consists of many independent cells, many of which have their own indendendent organs both online and off. MIM(Prisons) serves these documents as a service to and reference for the anti-imperialist movement worldwide.

    Urgent action with instructions

Ward Churchill is a tenured professor at the University of Colorado facing firing and extra scrutiny of his work for a speech he made about 9/11. The struggle for Ward Churchill is turning out to be longer than expected and this is good news:
    1. Make some xerox copies, say 50 or 100 of this Ward Churchill flyer and slice each page into three pieces.
    2. Make a handful of copies of this petition for Ward Churchill.
    3. Go to the nearest college campus or civil rights concerned organization and get signatures on the petition.
    4. As people pass you by, yell out "Petition for Ward Churchill, professor being fired." If you can get it all said before people get by, say, "Petition for Ward Churchill, professor being fired for a speech." The key is to catch attention.
    5. If someone says, "I dunno," give them a copy of the flyer so they can read more on the website.
    6. If you know how to scan documents, send scans of your petitions to mim3@mim.org. Otherwise, just email mim3@mim.org with details of how many signatures you obtained and where. Time is short, so do not nitpick. Get something like this done.

Recent events demand anti-imperialist response. This is a call to all activists to get out on the streets with the MIM Notes special edition about the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks. The militarist war-mongering by not only the U.$. government but also the Amerikan population, along with the fierce national chauvinism and anti-Arab attacks demand a strong response from anti-imperialists. We need to provide a correct analysis of these events for activists. We also have a responsibility to try to turn the Amerikan people's anger against the correct target: Amerikan imperialism. You can also send contributions of updates and news articles to the MIM web site devoted to on-going coverage of events to us here at mim@mim.org or mim3@mim.org if from outside U.$. borders. Every article on this page is about the events of September 11th, 2001. In 2002, we stopped updating this. See MIM Notes for regular news and also our agitation pages for current campaigns related to the "war on terror" including interviews with those labelled "terrorist."

On September 28th, 2001 I reorganized this web page to break it down into various topics starting with articles on or after September 25th.
